Saying Goodbye

Today we lost an incredible man.  Lee's grandfather, Ghumpaw, passed away early this morning.  It was a very sudden passing and I think everyone is still trying to wrap their heads around it.  He was such a great man that never failed to bring a smile to our faces. When I first joined Lee's family 7 years ago I didn't have any grandfather's left.  He was always so warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home.  He was always ready with a (sometimes dirty) joke and open arms when we arrived in Kirbyville.  He had 6 kids of his own, 13 grand kids and 6 great grand kids with 2 on the way.  (I hope my math was right there!)  He was just a sweet, loving man and we will all miss him so much.  Please keep our family in your prayers, especially Lee's mom as she has lost her Daddy.  We know he's glad to be in heaven today but all of our hearts hurt without him here on earth.  We are especially sad to miss being with family during this time.  With Brighton coming any day now we can't make the long trip to be at the funeral.  We hate this but know we have to do what is best for the baby right now.  Thanks in advance for all of your prayers.

Such a special blog about my Daddy. Thank you, Kristy. He was definitely one of a kind-a GREAT kind!! He will be greatly missed. I could go to my Daddy for ANYTHING-advice, etc. He was very special. Thank you for the loving tribute to him.
