Newborns Aren't my Thing...

It's no secret that I am not a huge fan of newborns. Sure, they are sweet and precious and I think they are adorable but they also cry A LOT, keep you up all night long, have more dirty diapers a day than you can count, and most frustrating of all..can't tell you what's wrong. Newborns exhaust me. I know this sounds terrible but I'm more of an after 6 months old kind of mom. I do great from that point on. Luckily, I married a man that was meant to have newborns. While he would probably never admit it, he is unbelievable with newborn babies and has been since the first minute of Price's life. He can calm them down, change diapers like no one I've ever seen, and swaddle like a pro. He can also be up countless times a night with the baby and still be happy the next day. This is something I will never master! Every time we have a baby (and we're up to 3 now in case you lost count) he amazes me with his calmness, his sense to know exactly what the baby needs and just the way he looks at them. Obviously he has a special love for each of the kids but watching him with our new baby girl has been amazing. I always wanted a daughter but feel very suited to be a boy mom. I just really hoped we could have a girl so Lee could have that special relationship that I have with my dad. Between my foot being messed up and the normal recovery from having a baby a lot of her needs (other than eating) have fallen on Lee. He and Brighton already have this sweet bond and I love to watch them together. I cannot wait to see that relationship grow. We have been truly blessed.

I snapped a couple of pictures of these 2 while we were heading out the door for a family photo shoot.  So cute in their (unintentionally) matching outfits!
