Price at 4 1/2

Not the best pics but he still can't get over that fake smile!
Wow, how is Price already half way to being 5 years old.  Since the day he was born I have always thought 5 sounded old.  I can't believe we will be there in less than 6 months.  He's such a kid now, not really a little boy and certainly not a baby.  He's smart and funny and witty.  He can also be very thoughtful and sometimes mean when he's not happy about something.  Here is a short list of things he's up to now.

Weight: 31 lbs

He LOVES super heroes more than anything else these days.  He only wears super hero shirts and says he wants to be Batman when he grows up.  We will all live in the bat cave together, I'll be Cat Woman, Lee can be Night Wing and Hayes will be Robin.

He can most often be found playing with his super hero figures and his bat cave.  He plays really well by himself and is content for over an hour in his imaginary world.  He will also allow Hayes to play with him most of the time, just as long as Hayes doesn't take the specific toy he wants.

He is still a huge snuggler.  He loves to get in our bed and lay with us in the mornings.  He snuggles as close to me as he can.  He will also do this when I'm laying on the couch.

Sadly, at 4.5 years old he is still not a great sleeper.  He naps some days and some days he doesn't which is fine with me.  He usually calls us several times before he falls asleep and at least once in the middle of the night.  His newest trick is showing up in our room at all hours of the night for various reasons.  Sigh...someday he will sleep all night!

He's doing really well in Pre-K.  While he NEVER wants to go, he is always happy when I pick him up and tells me (with some prodding) what he did that day.  He LOVES his teachers and talks about them often.

He is still very much a home-body and would prefer to be here with me than anywhere else.  While he loves playing with his friends, he is always ready to come home and never minds spending the whole day here.

He is really interested in words and how they fit together.  He loves to sound things out and try to figure out what it says.  He can also write his name when forced to.  He isn't into coloring or anything else that requires sitting at a table for any period of time (crafts, scissors, etc.)

He has an ornery streak that we see more often as he gets older.  He loves to tell Hayes to do things that will get him in trouble.  He also likes to boss and push Hayes around sometimes.  Luckily, Hayes thinks Price hung the moon so he doesn't mind!

He is incredibly cautious and doesn't like to be the first one to try new things.  He is always over worried about getting hurt or looking silly.  That being said, he is by no means a follower.  He loves to tell his friends 'no' when they want him to do something he doesn't want to.

I am so proud of this kid and who he is becoming.  It is so amazing being his Mom and watching him grow and change every single day.  I can't wait to see what he's like at 5, 6, 7 and the rest of his life.  We are so thankful that God forever changed our lives with Pricer 4.5 years ago!
