Sigh...despite my best efforts, the day finally came and Price turned 5 yesterday. Poor little dude was VERY sick on his birthday this year. He ran 103 temp and after spending an hour of his birthday at the doctors office we found out he had strep throat. So he was not himself and didn't seem to care that I had decorated his room with streamers and balloons when he woke up throwing up in the middle of the night! After 2 doses of antibiotic he is so much better today and is back to his old self again. He acted just the way a 5 year old little boy should today and I loved every minute of it. Here are some things Price is up to at 5.
- Height: 40 inches
- Weight: 32 pounds
- He can write his name legibly, we are working on using lower case letters too.
- He can read a little. He worked with a teacher friend of ours this summer and he's getting really good at sounding out words and figuring out what things say.
- He can swim like a little fish. He doesn't have as much confidence in the water as I would like but he's getting there.
- At home he never wears a shirt. I'm not sure what it is but he takes it off the minute we get home.
- He LOVES his brother and sister. He and Hayes fight just like brothers do but they really are best friends and spend all of their time at home playing together. He loves to make Brighton laugh and give her kisses and hugs.
- He spends the majority of his free time playing with his action figures. He's still into super heroes and now loves Ninja Turtles too.
- He goes to preschool 3 days a week and tolerates it. Leaving home is never his favorite thing to do but there are no tears and he's happy while he's there.
- His favorite meal away from home is Bush's Chicken.
- When he grows up he wants to be Batman.
- His best friend is Kayleigh.
- We cannot believe that it has been 5 years since God blessed us with such a special little boy. I am so thankful that I am his Mommy and that I get one more year with him before he starts school. He's always thinking and coming up with funny, creative things and I'm always on my toes. We love this kid so much and can't wait to see him grow some more.
