Borrowing some ideas from my friend Kacey, I decided to start doing letter days with the kids. This way they can learn about a letter, the way it sounds, and some words that start with it. A couple of weeks ago when I picked Price up from school our letter A day started.
While I made lunch the boys did 'A' papers.
For lunch we had Apples and Anchovies (gold fish)
Then we wrestled an Alligator
Next we went Around the house to find As
After watching an Alphabet movie, Karlie came over and we went on an Adventure Around the neighborhood to find Ants and Acorns.
They also found the letter A on many things in the streets.
The day was a hit with my kids and they talked about it for a while. It gave me the encouragement I needed to make this a regular thing. We did letter B last week. Stay tuned for those pictures.
