Tonight Price was in the bathtub and he was trying to stand up. I had just finished saying "sit on your bottom" and was holding on to his shoulders when he slipped and hit his mouth on the edge of the tub. He obviously started screaming so I got him out and was holding him. It took a second for me to notice the blood. After a choice word and a quick look into his mouth I saw there was a lot more blood in there. He is screaming his head off and I am trying to comfort him while keeping pressure on his lip (the source of all the blood) and also trying to calm myself down. (Apparently he hit his lip on his tooth when he hit the side of the tub.) There really is no feeling like seeing blood coming from your child. It terrified me. Anyway, after about 10 minutes he calmed down and the bleeding came to a stop. (After covering almost the entire hood of his hooded towel.) Sadly though, he still has a huge fat lip. I'm interested to see what it will look like tomorrow. He was finally happy enough to finish his bath and head to bed. He kept sucking his lip in and trying to touch it, I'm sure it feels really weird to him. He's sleeping soundly now and I have finally calmed down too! We both made it through his first big "ouchie"!
In the picture all the blood is gone, that is just the really red, swollen area that's left.

Ewww Price you are busted man...literally! I guess there really is a reason they tell us to sit on our bottoms. I'm sure its bound to happen sooner later to all of us. Congrats on your battle scar, but save your mom some stress and chill out next time in the tub. Your bud- Walker
