A couple of weeks ago we went to the zoo with some of Price's friends. They just opened a new Asian Forest exhibit and last time Price and I went it was opening day. We were looking forward to seeing it without so many people. It is a great exhibit (even though we couldn't find the komodo dragon) and we got a little unexpected surprise while we were watching the orangutans. (Thanks, Kelly for the pics!)

Apparently the people who created the exhibit installed a button that the orangutans can push to get the onlookers wet. I had read about this before going but last I heard, they hadn't learned how to push it yet. I figured it would just be a quick squirt of water, similar to a water gun. Boy was I wrong. While Brooke, Price and I were watching one of the orangutans play on a rock he started licking it. Brooke and I moved closer for a better look while Price stayed a little behind. All of the sudden water came POURING down on us. Brooke and I managed to get out of the way without getting wet but Price was another story. He was drenched. The water kept pouring down on him and he was screaming! I quickly got him out of the water and thankfully had a change of clothes with me. We had to use Emily's nursing covers to dry him off. I think he was most upset about his crackers getting so wet that we had to throw them away. After he calmed down from the shock we tried to help him realize it was really funny that the monkey got him wet. Now any time the zoo is mentioned he tells everyone about it. Apparently they have not only learned how to push the button but can do it with their tongues! Look out if you stop by!
