A Little Delay

Our ride home didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked. We were going along great until we got to Wichita Falls. We decided to stop at a gas station to get gas and a Subway sandwich (then I wanted to go across the street for a slush). After starting our lunch, Lee decided to go ahead and get the gas. After he finished he told me the pumps were going really slow. Then we started to overhear people around us talking about there being water in the gas. We finished lunch, drove across the street to Sonic and the car started shaking really badly. All the lights on the panel were on and then the whole car just turned off. Very long story short, we ended up having to be towed to a repair shop. They said it would take a minimum of 3 hours to fix if they could get the part. Of course, since it was Friday, they couldn't. We waited there for 3 hours (with a 2 year old that did not nap) trying to find a rent car. The entire city was sold out. Finally, the VERY nice guy at the repair shop found us one. We finally headed home and Price fell asleep within minutes of getting in the car. He really was a trooper the entire time. Good thing the repair shop was located near an air force base (so there were lots of planes), a railroad track, and there were plenty of rocks to keep his attention. It also helped that my mom was riding home with us. She was a great help! It was a very long day and we were all so happy to be home. Lee had to drive back there today to get our car. Thankfully, the gas station has agreed to pay for all the damages and expenses it has cost us. We hope we never have to go through this again!
