Trip to the ER

Lee took this and sent it to me from his phone at the ER. Poor sick little boy.

Last night was an eventful one at the Boyd house. Around 4 we noticed that Price was running a slight fever. We gave him some motrin and he seemed fine, running around and playing like normal. He ate a pretty good dinner and was only slightly whiny. A little later he started to get really lethargic and whiny. He felt like he was burning up so we took his temp again and it was up to 102. It was getting close to bed time so we figured we would take an early bath and head to bed. He cried the entire time in the bathtub which is so unlike him and he shivered when we took him out. We called the doctor but it took a while for him to get back with us. By the time he did we had already decided to take him to the ER. Because of the whole bed rest thing and the fact that there are so many germs at the the hospital I had to stay home. Probably one of the hardest things I have had to do as a mom. Lee, Memaw and Price headed to the ER and I just waited for news. After his fever getting higher, throwing up several times, getting flu tests and a chest x-ray Price was feeling better and his fever started coming down. Both types of flu test were negative and the chest x-ray was clear. We are sooo thankful for that! He was diagnosed with a viral respiratory infection. The doctor said he should better in a few days. They finally made it home around midnight. He didn't have a very good nights sleep but has napped well today. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before he feels like his old self. He's been playing a lot more today so maybe we are on the end of it! Thank you all for your prayers.
