I had seen a pirate ship bed in a magazine that I loved for Price. The big problem was that it was almost $2000 and I wasn't about to spend that on a bed! I showed the picture to my dad and he said he would be willing to try to build it. Price was so excited and kept talking about how grandpa was going to build him a boat bed. Well, my dad way outdid himself. We LOVE this bed and I think it looks way better than the one in the magazine. It even has drawers on one side, a trap door in the front, and the other side lifts up for storage or hiding! It also has a light in the headboard for reading books a night. Thank you so much Grandpa for the boat bed. Price LOVES it and has been sleeping so well in it!
We are in the process of turing Price's room into a pirate room. I'll post pictures of the whole room when we are finished. Love this pirate bedding!

Wow! I love the trap door/hiding space. Now if Hayes goes missing, you know where Price has stashed him - as booty in his pirate ship!
