Hayes' Birthday Party

I decided to do a few things differently with Hayes 1st birthday party than I did with Prices. I wanted it to be a small, family affair and keep the numbers low. We succeeded and I think Hayes had a great time. I just really wanted to celebrate him. We have had a bumpy first year and I felt like his was a life that really needed to be celebrated and I didn't want it to be about anyone but him. Anyway, we succeeded and we had a great time. Hayes seemed to know these people were here just for him and he really enjoyed all the attention...not to mention the cake! Here are some highlights of his day. (Click on the pictures to make them larger.)

The adorable invitation that my friend Kelly made for Hayes. I LOVE it!!

and the back!

The awesome banner with all his frog pictures. A big thanks to Michelle, Molly and Jen for all their help getting ready for the party!
The spread, minus the chick-fil-a tray.
Yummy cake.
Adorable smash cake...he ate the whole thing.
Airplanes hanging from the chandelier over the table.
Marshmallow pops...I had seen these at other parties. They were SO easy to make and very tasty.
Baggage claim!
Best family shot I got!
With the birthday boy!
He wasn't too sure what to think about opening presents.
He LOVES this orangutan from Memaw and Pepaw.
Cake time!
I think he likes it.
Covered in cake.
And finally the favors. "1" cookies!
