Hayes is at that great age of 3 where most of what he says and does is funny. He is constantly cracking us up. One of his major quirks is music. He has the oddest taste for a 3 year old. His favorite song is Jai Ho, you know, from the movie Slumdog Millionaire, the song where NONE of the lyrics are in English. It's his favorite and he requests that I play it often. His next favorite is a completely instrumental song off of the Lorax soundtrack. It's called "O'Hare Warns Ted" no words at all and he loves it, wants me to play it over and over again. Lastly, since the boys are with me most of the time they are exposed to some sappy girl music. I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift and her new album has a lot of really fast fun songs. Of course Hayes' favorite off her album is none of those, it is a song called "The Last Time". It's a very slow, sad duet. Cracks me up that he wants to listen to that any time I have that album on.
He is also saying some funny things right now. A couple of my recent favorites are "Mom, is Jesus a good fighter?" This was completely out of the blue and made me laugh out loud.
Yesterday while at Old Navy he saw a mannequin and yelled out "Mom, that guy doesn't have a head!" Ah, never a dull moment.
He and Price are really into Star Wars right now (even though Hayes hasn't seen the movies) and he calls C3PO C3PPO and the way he says it make Price laugh every single time.
These are some of the things I want to remember about Hayes at 3. He's such a ball of energy and I'm trying to soak it all in because I know these days are far too short.
