Price at 5 1/2

We are on our way to 6 years old.  That's so crazy.  Price turned 5 1/2 at the end of February and doesn't let anyone forget about the 1/2.  He's getting so big and is really little boy now.  Sadly any and all traces of baby or toddler are long gone. Here are a few things about my precious boy at 5 1/2.
  • Weight: around 33 lbs
  • Height: about 40.5 inches
  • He loves all things Star Wars right now.  He and Hayes literally spend hours fighting Darth Vader and being Luke Skywalker or Han Solo.
  • He pretty much always has a fake sword or gun with him.
  • He loves to pretend he's an inventor and thinks up new ideas all the time.  He builds new inventions with his tinker toys.
  • He is getting really good at sounding out words and writing letters.  I'm guessing it's the boy in him that really hates to sit down and write or practice reading.  He is NOT a fan!
  • He loves to be outside and running around.
  • He's much better than I am at any game on the ipad.  I few of his favorites are angry birds, tomb runner and Cordy.
  • We have started reading some chapter books to him at night and he loves the stories.  His recent favorites are The Mouse and the Motorcycle and My Father's Dragon.
  • He is very compliant and rarely gets in trouble.  He has never been to time out at school an always gets a glowing report there.  He is very much a rule follower.  At home he does really well and has started picking up the playroom and his bedroom when I ask him to.  He cleans really well!  He does have the occasional whiny fest and at times gets in trouble for talking back.
  • He has finally (Praise the Lord) gotten to where he looks forward to school.  I know it has nothing to do with school itself but with the great friends he has there.  I'll take it as long as I don't have to hear "I don't like school" anymore!  He continues to go to 3 day preschool.
  • We spend every Thursday alone and I LOVE it.  The other two are in MDO and this is our "big boy day".  We go bowling, out to lunch, and pretty much do whatever Price feels like doing that day.  I think we both enjoy the one on one attention.
  • He is still a really good eater and is willing to try anything.  We recently discovered he likes grilled onions.
  • He really is a sweet boy who still enjoys cuddling with Lee and me or his grandparents.  He's such a good kid and I am so happy he's mine.  I cannot believe how fast he's growing.  By the time he turns 6 he will have started kindergarten.  Oh how Mama isn't ready for that!
