Egg Dyeing

We dyed eggs twice this year.  The first time we tried something I had seen on facebook with shaving cream and food coloring.  It was a fun idea and it looked really cool while we were doing it but the eggs looked awful when they were dried.  They were barely a pink color and didn't at all have the "marble" effect they were supposed to.  Oh well though, at least the kids (and Kayleigh) had fun trying it.

Next we dyed them the old fashioned way except instead of using egg dye we used kool-aid.  They turned out really pretty and bright.  And as a bonus they smelled really good too!  The boys had fun and liked mixing the colors together.
