Hayes at 3 1/2

Hayes turned 3 and a half earlier this month and won't let anyone forget that he is no longer just 3.  He has really blossomed into the funniest, most loving and energetic little boy.  There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't say something that makes us laugh.  We are beyond thankful for this guy.  Here are some things Hayes is up to at 3.5:
  • Weight: 34.2 lbs
  • He is incredibly sweet and is constantly giving kisses and hugs to everyone in our family.  He probably tells me he loves me about 10 times a day out of the blue.  He loves to snuggle up to me and sit in my lap.
  • He LOVES to have his back scratched and asks me to do it several times a day.
  • He's not a great eater.  He would rather snack so we are working on eating meals though its really hard to get him to try new things.  He loves spaghetti, pizza, salami and raspberries.  Right now he doesn't care for cheese (not sure he's my child).
  • He constantly has a gun, light saber or sword hanging from or through the waistband of his pants.  He sometimes carries multiple things that way and his pants sag.
  • He still loves his puppy more than anything and wants it when he is hurt, upset or going to bed.
  • He naps abut every other day now.  When he does nap its usually for 2+ hours but he is totally fine without one too.
  • He likes Mother's Day Out and I've been told recently that he holds hands with a girl named Claire.  This past week he actually let Claire hold his puppy which is a huge deal since he never lets anyone do that!
  • He loves Price more than anyone else in the world and wants to be with him all the time.  They are amazing little playmates and are always wrestling, inventing things, or being Jedis.
  • He loves all things Star Wars and asks to watch the movies all the time.
  • He's starting to show more interest in Brighton since she's getting more able to play with him.  He's very sweet to her and likes to be the first one into her room after her nap or when she wakes up in the  morning.
  • He is very headstrong and if he doesn't want to do something it is near impossible to convince him to do it.  (Example: he is afraid of Price's fort and won't go up in it or down in the bottom.  No amount of peer pressure, bribing or me telling him I'll do it with him has convinced him to do it.)
  • Every single morning when I go to get him out of bed he is totally covered up with his sheet.  When I get beside his bed his throws off the covers and yells "surprise" with a huge grin on his face.  It makes my morning.
  • While he still has major fits occasionally, he is really a very happy boy and I have loved watching him grow and change so much this past year.  I can't believe he'll be 4 in less than 6 months.
