The Fresh Beat Band

My boys have been in love with The Fresh Beat Band for a long time now. (It's a kids show on Nickelodeon.)  So back in December when tickets went on sale for their first ever live concert, I knew we had to go.  Tickets to Dallas sold out too quickly so we ended up getting some in Austin.  Of course the boys have no sense of time, especially when we are talking months so we didn't talk too much about it with them until it got closer.  Thursday of last week the date finally arrived.  We talked a lot about what a concert is and Price asked if it would be the "real fresh beat band" and "not guys in costumes".  I knew their minds would totally be blown when they could see Kiki, Marina, Twist and Shout actually on stage.  Their level of excitement did not disappoint.  It was hands down the best concert I have ever been to just because of the looks on their faces.  Lee and I both got a little teary when the band first took the stage because it is rare to see that look of crazy joy on their faces.  I want to remember that forever.  They LOVED the concert and were so good during it.  Hayes danced and sang through the entire show.  Price sat back in his chair and just took it all in but afterwards could not stop talking about it.  We had such a great time and I am so glad we went.  Side note, Lee's awesome cousin, Amanda, let Brighton and Becky hang out at her apartment while we were at the concert. There were no pictures during the actual concert so I snapped a few before it started.  The concert was at the same venue where they have Austin City Limits.  It was nice and intimate and every seat was a good one.  The boys could see really well.
