1 Year Already?!

Lee and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the 30th of July. We decided to take two days away and go to the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. We had a great time. We had a really nice room that overlooked the inside of the hotel. The whole hotel is amazing. It's like being outside when you are inside. They have created Texas inside the building, just without the heat! It's fabulous. The first night we went to eat at the Nana grill in the Anatole hotel in Dallas. It is all windows and overlooks the Dallas skyline. We had amazing steaks and desert. Then we went back to our room in our hotel and watched our wedding video. While we watched we ate the top tier of our wedding cake and drank champagne. The cake was NOT very good but we had fun. We also got a chocolate boot with our champagne. It was a little boot made entirely out of chocolate that came with dark chocolate horseshoes and other little things made out of chocolate. It was so so good. I ate on it the whole trip. The next day we got incredible massages at the spa in the hotel. Then we went to Grapevine Mills mall. That night we ate at the Old Hickory Steak House in the hotel. It was great. They even brought us a desert with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate. It was so sweet. We had a great time and got to take lots of fun pictures. The next day I got a fantastic pedicure and we headed home. We had a great weekend and I cannot believe it's already been a year. I can't wait to share so many more with my sweet husband!

Woo-hoo: To the little pool Lee bought for our backyard.
Boo: To Macie chewing the leather cover on my Bible to shreds. (I told her God was NOT happy)

Yeah, I cannot stop laughing about Macie eating your Bible. You have a devil dog!! I hope she doesn't get struck by lighting! Or maybe she's actually really holy... "Man (and dogs!) cannot live on bread alone..." LOL. I'm glad you had fun on your anniversary trip! I wish I had a chocolate boot!
