This is how Hayes rode in the ambulance. I know it looks scary but it was pretty cool, kind of like an incubator complete with monitors and lights.
We are here at Cook Children's Hospital. Everyone has been very helpful and sympathetic. Hayes is resting and has even been awake a lot of time time making sweet baby noises. The main reasons the doctor sent us up here are that Hayes' white blood count was a little higher today than it was yesterday and his x ray looked like the stuff in his right lung had gotten bigger. He also had an episode in the middle of the night with acid reflux. It made it a lot harder for him to breathe and we could tell he was in pain. The doctor said she wanted to go ahead and send ups up here before he got worse and he had to be shipped as an emergency. While it stinks to be so far from home we know we are where we need to be. These people see kids like this everyday.
Hayes and I rode in the ambulance up here and Lee followed in his car. Once we got settled the doctor came in and looked at Hayes. He said he thinks he looks pretty good. He said that he is not as concerned about the xrays or the white blood cells. He said he still thinks it is viral and will heal with time. So he was going to have a pediatric radiologist look at the xrays to make sure he agreed. He said overall he is very happy with where Hayes is right now and that we will just keep observing him. It was nice to hear that he is not as concerned and that he seems to think we are on the mend. Every person we have seen (doctors, nurses, respiratory specialists, etc.) have said this is just RSV. They say that you have good moments and bad moments and things can change quickly. We are hoping for more good moments! So that's the latest from us for now. Thank you all for your prayers, phone calls, message, and everything else. Please continue to pray for healing and for us as we are so far away from Price. I know he is in good hands but I miss him like crazy and hate having my family split up like this. Oh and for those who have asked, we are in room P401.

We are still praying for little Hayes and your entire family, Kristy. Keep your chin up, sweetie!
I pray that God places his healing hands on little Hayes body. I pray that he gives the right wisdom and knowledge to all the Doctors, Nurses, and RT staff that have direct care of Hayes. I pray that he gives Kristy and Lee peace and I pray he watches over Price at this hard time. I pray that he bring the Boyd family together soon.
