I love snow days

Because Texans tend to freak out when they see "Winter Weather Warning" on the tv, I got to go home at noon yesterday. It was wonderful. I was so behind on my laundry and had a lot I needed to do at the house. When I went to my car it was frozen. I had to pull the door open to get all the ice to break off. I went and had lunch with an old friend and then I went home for good. Lee got some fire wood and we started a fire. Then I began the long process of sorting laundry. I had so much that it literally filled the laundry room. I put in my first load then I got out all the presents I have bought and everything I need to wrap them. 3 1/2 hours later I was finally finished. I kept getting distracted because I was finally home to watch Ellen and Oprah. (Two of my favorites!) After I put all the presents under the tree and cleaned up Lee and I ordered a pizza. They said it would take 1 1/2 hours to get it to us. So we watched some tv and waited while I kept switching out the laundry. The pizza finally arrived and we watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas (The one with Jim Carrey) while we ate. After that was over we went outside and played in the ice/snow mix. It didn't last long because it was soooo cold. All of our Christmas decorations outside were frozen. Then Lee got ready to go to sleep. I stayed up to watch the new season of Project Runway. It was pretty dramatic, should be a great season! Then I headed on to bed myself. It was such a nice break to have the whole afternoon to do what I wanted. When I got up this morning I didn't have to be at work until 10. I decided that I would be more into work if it always started at 10! I loved the cold weather and it got me really excited about New York!!

Woo-Hoo: Michelle's Bachelorette party is this weekend!
Boo: All the ice is melting and tomorrow everything will be back to normal.

Looks like you might see some snow after all in the Big Apple. It's "pouring" snow right now :) Fun to watch, NOT so fun to go to work in.
