Brighton at 18 months

Note the goose egg and scrape on her head....she seriously never stops going!

How in the world is my baby girl 18 months old?  In some ways it feels like she has been here forever and in others it feels like she should still be a newborn.  Time is definitely marching on.  Here are some things our spunky girl is up to at 18 months:
  • Height: 30 1/4 inches
  • Weight: 22lbs
  • Teeth: 16
  • Diapers: size 3
  • Clothes: Mostly 12 or 18 month
  • She's a firecracker that has no problem telling you no, looking at you and gigging when she knows she's doing something wrong.
  • Even though we were supposed to be giving up the paci during the day she still gets it out of crib most days...and for my sanity, I let her.
  • She still hates the car seat and cries a lot in the car.
  • She is saying more words but still doesn't talk much.  Some of her newer words are dog, keys, drink, no, more, and a few more I can't think of.
  • She RUNS all the time, never walks.  She has also learned to jump and it's adorable.
  • She loves to spin circles and fall down dizzy.
  • She MUST be wherever I am at all times.
  • She loves getting out of the house and yells "GO" anytime I get my keys.
  • She loves to go for family walks and ride on a bike we push with a handle.
  • She is happiest outside.
  • She is a great sleeper, usually goes down around 7:30 and sleeps until about 7.  Then she takes a 2 hours nap.
  • She loves to eat with a fork and spoon.
  • She is constantly covered in scrapes, bruises and bumps because she WILL NOT slow down!
  • She hates to have her diaper changed and tries her best to fling herself off of the changing pad.
  • Everyday she asks for a bow and her shoes before we go anywhere.
  • She's not a great eater and hates to sit in the high chair for any amount of time.
  • She is spoiled rotten by Lee, me and her brothers.  She's just so joyful that it's contagious and people are constantly stopping me to say how precious she is.  Her Mothers' Day out teacher told me that the name Brighton fit her perfectly because she brightens everyones day.
  • I love this kid and can't wait to see what happens as we get closer to two.  She's already a master at the fits!
